Trailer Unveils Dark Harvest Film Adaptation: Introducing Sawtooth Jack and His Pursuers

Imagine a world without the labor of talented writers and actors. The film we’re about to discuss wouldn’t exist. Why? Because it was written and acted during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. These individuals are the backbone of the entertainment industry, and their absence is deeply felt.

But fear not, because Dark Harvest is here to captivate and terrify you. Directed by the brilliant David Slade (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Hannibal, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), this upcoming film, based on the chilling book by Norman Partridge, is set to haunt your screens this October. And guess what? We’ve got a spine-chilling trailer to give you a taste of what’s to come.

The trailer introduces us to Sawtooth Jack, a supernatural entity that descends upon a cursed town every year, leaving destruction in its wake. The townsfolk must band together and put an end to this terrifying legend before it claims more innocent lives. But as the film’s synopsis suggests, things may not be as straightforward as they appear:

Step into a cursed town where the annual harvest becomes a brutal battle for survival. On Halloween 1963, Sawtooth Jack, a horrifying scarecrow, emerges from the cornfields, threatening the town’s children. Groups of brave boys unite to confront this murderous entity before the stroke of midnight. Richie, an outcast fueled by his brother’s past triumph, joins the fight. But as the hunt unfolds, Richie uncovers a shocking secret and faces a pivotal choice that could break the relentless cycle.

Prepare to be enthralled by the talented cast of Dark Harvest, including Casey Likes, E’myri Crutchfield, Dustin Ceithamer, Elizabeth Reaser, and Jeremy Davies. And let’s not forget the incredible screenplay adaptation by Michael Gilio.

Originally slated for a theatrical release in September 2021, the film faced setbacks due to the pandemic. It was rescheduled for September 2022, only to be pulled from theaters altogether. However, fear not, horror enthusiasts! Dark Harvest will have a special one-night screening on October 11, 2023, at Alamo Draft House Theaters. And just two days later, on October 13, 2023, it will be available for rent or purchase digitally. So mark your calendars!

While you wait in anticipation, feast your eyes on this chilling poster that promises a bone-chilling experience:
