The Marvel Move fitness application is taking things to the next level with the introduction of virtual races. And guess who’s headlining the first one? The lead characters from Marvel Studios’ upcoming film, The Marvels!
Marvel Move, created by Six to Start in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, is an interactive fitness adventure that lets you experience original Marvel stories while running, jogging, or walking. Now, they’re adding virtual races to the mix.
How to run in Marvel Move’s first virtual race
According to Marvel, these virtual races are just like real-world 5K or 10K races, but with the freedom to run them wherever, whenever, and however you choose. The first virtual race is called The Marvels: Flerken Race. In this thrilling three-part story, you’ll play as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent teaming up with Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Monica Rambeau โ aka The Marvels โ for a wild adventure!
The Marvels: Flerken Race kicks off with two special training workouts and culminates in a 5K/10K race. The first training workout is available today, September 25, with the second launching next Monday, October 2. The final race begins on Monday, October 9. Don’t worry if you can’t complete them right away, as all three parts will remain available within Marvel Move. However, if you’re planning to attend New York Comic Con this year, Marvel suggests completing the race. Finish The Marvels: Flerken Race and show your ZRX app at the Marvel booth to receive a free exclusive pin featuring artwork by Doaly!

What is The Marvels: Flerken Race about?
Prepare for an intergalactic conflict between the Kree and Skrulls as feisty flerkens wreak havoc at a Super Hero convention. You’ll join forces with three powerful heroes to contain these adorable tentacled terrors and prevent disaster. That’s the thrilling premise of The Marvels: Flerken Race!
The virtual race features the voice talents of Sandra Saad, reprising her role as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel from the Marvel’s Avengers video game and the animated series Spidey and his Amazing Friends. Amanda Mahr and Marquita Richardson also lend their voices to Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau/Photon, respectively.
“Working with Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Photon was a dream come true!” said Kim Richards, the writer behind The Marvels: Flerken Race. “I saw a lot of myself in Ms. Marvel, a dorky forever-teen with a passion for nerdy things, navigating life as a mixed-race POC. Writing this adventure was like penning a love letter to Ms. Marvel and all my favorite things โ cats, comic book conventions, and love on the battlefield!”
But that’s not all! Marvel Move will have a presence at NYCC beyond the pin giveaway. The creators of the app will be hosting a panel on Sunday, October 15, at 10:30 a.m. in room 408. Special guest appearances include Sandra Saad and comic book writer Meghan Fitzmartin.
Mark your calendars! The Marvels hits theaters on Friday, November 10.
