New Toxic Avenger Emerges in Town

Get ready for the new and improved Toxic Avenger! This remake of the 1984 cult film is already making waves with its kitschy news report. It’s the perfect introduction to this freaky folk hero who’s out there dishing out some vigilante justice. And let me tell you, the interviewees have some wild things to say about him. One person even describes him as a messed-up hot dog! Can you imagine? Another impression is a potato with a scrawled-on face.

In this short peek, we catch a glimpse of Peter Dinklage looming in a doorway, but the face of the Avenger remains a mystery. Nevertheless, you definitely get the gist of what’s to come.

The original Toxic Avenger was a collaboration between Michael Herz, Lloyd Kaufman, and Macon Blair. And guess what? They’re all back for this new version! Blair takes the reins as the writer and director, bringing his unique vision to the table. It’s bound to be a thrilling ride.

Now, let’s talk about the synopsis. Brace yourself for this one: “A horrible toxic accident transforms downtrodden janitor, Winston Gooze into a new evolution of hero: THE TOXIC AVENGER!” I mean, do we really need any more information? The title says it all.

But wait, there’s more! Blair’s Avenger features an incredible cast, including Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Julia Davis, Jonny Coyne, and the one and only Kevin Bacon. It’s one step away from the prestigious adaptation Leave the World Behind, which also stars Bacon. Talk about star power!

The Toxic Avenger has been generating buzz at various festivals, but we’re still waiting for an official release date. Stay tuned!
