Get ready for a wild ride into history with the upcoming horror movie The Emu War. Yes, you read that right! This film is based on the actual “Great Emu War” that took place in 1932. If you’re a fan of the so-bad-it’s-good vibe of the Birdemic films, then you’re in for a treat. We’re thrilled to present the trailer to you today.

Witness an emu mob fiercely retaliate against Australian soldiers in this “unapologetically silly, ultra-low budget war epic.” You can catch a glimpse of the madness in the official trailer for The Emu War right here.

The film’s plot revolves around the notorious Great Emu War of 1932. A motley crew of soldiers find themselves in a savage and bloody battle against Australia’s deadliest flightless beasts. Major Meredith, haunted by his son’s abduction by the Emus, leads the platoon behind enemy lines to assassinate the Queen Emu.

The creative minds behind The Emu War are Lisa Fineberg, John Campbell, and Jay Morrissey, who directed and wrote the film in collaboration with Jonathan Schuster, Dane Simpson, and Urvi Majumdar.

The film boasts a stellar cast including Damian Callinan, Lisa Fineberg, Aaron Gocs, Dane Simpson, Ben Russell, Lena Moon, Jonathan Schuster, Cameron James, Naomi Higgins, Ethan Marrell, and Luke McGregor.

While we’re still waiting for a U.S. release date, we promise to keep you posted. Stay tuned.
