What’s the scoop on Andor Season 2?
Production for Andor Season 2 kicked off in November 2022, with an initial release date set for 2024. However, due to strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), filming was put on hold and resumed in early January 2024.
Just like the inaugural season, the second season of Andor will feature 12 episodes. The storyline will build up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with the final trio of episodes taking place just days before the 2016 film. As for more plot details, we’ll have to wait and see as they’re still under wraps.
The first season of Andor, which premiered on Disney+ in 2022, starred not only Luna but also Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Stellan Skargård as Luthen Rael, Fiona Shaw as Maarva Andor, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, and Denise Gough as Dedra Meero.
While the official premiere date for Andor Season 2 is yet to be announced, it’s anticipated to hit the screens in 2025. Meanwhile, you can catch Andor Season 1 streaming on Disney+.
