As you eagerly anticipate the release of Dune: Part 2 on the Max streaming service this May 21, Max has unveiled the thrilling official teaser trailer for the much-awaited spinoff series “Dune: Prophecy” today.

Get ready for the new Max Original Series, set to stream this fall on Max. The series takes you back in time, 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, and before the Bene Gesserit were known to the universe…

Dive into the vast universe of Dune, masterfully created by author Frank Herbert. The first season, consisting of six gripping episodes, follows the journey of two Harkonnen sisters as they battle forces threatening the future of humankind and lay the foundation for the legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit.

“Dune: Prophecy” draws its inspiration from the novel “Sisterhood of Dune,” penned by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

The star-studded cast features Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.

The talented Alison Schapker takes the helm as showrunner and executive producer.

Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and serves as an executive producer. Anna Foerster has executive produced and directed multiple episodes, including the first. Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts are also executive producers, along with New York Times bestselling author Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert representing the Frank Herbert estate. New York Times bestselling author Kevin J. Anderson is the co-producer. The series is a joint production of Max and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the critically acclaimed film franchise that has released two installments, the first of which bagged six Academy Awards®.
