Get ready to be thrilled earlier than anticipated as M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap is set to hit the screens sooner than expected. According to Deadline, the release date of this much-awaited thriller has been moved up, coinciding with the announcement of some intriguing new projects from Warner Bros.
The sixteenth movie of M. Night Shyamalan’s Oscar-nominated career, produced by Warner Bros., is now scheduled to premiere in movie theaters nationwide on August 2, 2024, a week earlier than its original release date.
In this upcoming thriller, Josh Hartnett stars as a father who, along with his teenage daughter, finds themselves at the heart of a dark and sinister event at a pop concert.
As revealed in the official trailer for Trap, the pop concert is actually a meticulously planned trap to capture The Butcher, a sadistic serial killer who has been eluding the authorities.
Saleka Shyamalan stars as the fictional pop star Lady Raven in this thriller. Hartnett has described the film as “very bizarre” and “very dark.”
Trap marks Shyamalan’s first venture under his new multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement with Warner Bros.
