When it comes to iconic comic book vehicles, the Batmobile and Invisible Jet are at the top of the list. These legendary rides are synonymous with their owners, the formidable Batman and the indomitable Wonder Woman, and their respective sidekick squads. But, Wonder Woman #10, penned by Tom King and illustrated by Daniel Sampere, unveils a humorous difference between the Dark Knight and the Amazing Amazon.

In the thrilling plot of Wonder Woman #10, our beloved heroine finds herself in a precarious situation. Kidnapped by a new adversary known as The Sovereign, Diana is marooned on a desolate island with a famished Cheetah. This predicament leaves the trio of Wonder Girls, Donna Troy, Cassandra Sandsmark, and Yara Flor, with the daunting task of locating their lost mentor.
Fortunately, the trio knows the location of Diana’s Invisible Jet. Unfortunately, this knowledge doesn’t help them gain access to it or pilot it. The ensuing struggle to get the jet off the ground and begin their search for Wonder Woman is a comedic spectacle. Amidst this chaos, an amusing tidbit about Batman and his Batmobile comes to light.

Batman’s secret strategy to prevent Batmobile joyrides: hiding his car keys
According to Donna Troy, Batman has a daily ritual of hiding his car keys. This intriguing piece of information comes from Dick Grayson, better known as Nightwing. It seems the Dark Knight is so paranoid about his sidekicks taking his car for a spin that he takes extra precautions every morning to avoid such a scenario.
While this could be Nightwing pulling Donna’s leg, Batman’s concern is not unfounded. There have been numerous instances where his junior partners have taken the Batmobile for unauthorized joyrides. The most notable instance was in Batman Forever, where Alfred had to interrupt Bruce Wayne’s romantic date to inform him that Master Grayson had taken “the other car.”

Regrettably for Batman, hiding his keys doesn’t seem to be an effective solution. Damian Wayne managed to hotwire an old Batmobile in one story, and the Teen Titans, led by Tim Drake, successfully stole another. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, sidestepped this issue by not teaching her sidekicks how to fly her Invisible Jet. However, this didn’t prevent them from eventually figuring it out.
Wonder Woman #10 is now available at comic shops everywhere. Don’t miss out!
