Get ready for some lunar lunacy!
We wrapped up May with a deep dive into Lisa Brühlmann’s transformative coming-of-age story, Blue My Mind (listen), and kicked off June by revisiting the often misunderstood third act of Danny Boyle’s Sunshine (listen). Now, we’re blasting off into the cosmos to revel in the absurd exploits of Lubdan the Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) in Brian Trenchard-Smith‘s 1997 sequel, Leprechaun 4: In Space!
In this outlandish film, the Leprechaun kidnaps Princess Zarina (Rebekah Carlton), a royal from an alien world, in a bid to marry her and seize control of her home planet. However, his plans are thwarted by a squad of heavily armed soldiers, led by the formidable Master Sergeant “Metal Head” Hooker (Tim Colceri). Undeterred, the tenacious Leprechaun makes a shocking exit from one of the soldier’s bodies (yes, you read that right) and continues his fight against the soldiers and the twisted scientist Dr. Mittenhand (Guy Siner).
