David Corenswet’s Superman Costume and Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific Outfit Revealed in Set Photos

Exciting new snapshots from the set of James Gunn’s Superman have surfaced on the internet.

The official clevelanddotcom account recently shared these captivating images, captured by Joshua Gunter on the set of Superman. The caption teases, “The suits are out!  Superman and what seems to be Mister Terrific from DC Comics are donned in full gear, filming a scene in the heart of downtown Cleveland.”

The photos offer a glimpse of David Corenswet’s striking Man of Steel costume, and Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific is also visible.

Another intriguing set photo shared by DC Film News reveals that the iconic Superman logo will adorn the back of Clark Kent’s cape, lending Corenswet’s look a resemblance to the costume featured in Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s All-Star Superman.

Joining Corenswet and Gathegi in the star-studded Superman cast are Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.

Helmed by Gunn, Superman marks the inaugural film entry in Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU, which officially launches this December with an animated Creature Commandos series.

Production on the highly anticipated movie, previously known as Superman: Legacy, kicked off at the end of February 2024. The filming is slated to continue until August.

Superman is set to hit the big screens in United States theaters on July 11, 2025, as a part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
