Batman: Caped Crusader is the brainchild of executive producers Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series), J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), and Matt Reeves (The Batman, The Penguin). Initially developed for Max, Amazon MGM Studios snapped up the series for a two-season order in March 2023. Based on characters from DC, Batman: Caped Crusader is a production of Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, with Ed Brubaker and Sam Register serving as executive producers.
