“Creature Commandos follows a covert team of imprisoned monsters, called upon for missions too perilous for humans,” the series’ synopsis reveals. “When everything else falls apart… they’re your last, and worst, resort.”
The series is inspired by the DC Comics team created by J.M. DeMatteis and Pat Broderick. The voice cast boasts of talents like Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Anya Chalotra, Zoe Chao, Frank Grillo, Sean Gunn, David Harbour, Alan Tudyk, Indira Varma, and Viola Davis.
But that’s not all! Post Creature Commandos, the DCU has a lineup of exciting series including Peacemaker Season 2, Waller, Lanterns, Paradise Lost, Booster Gold, and an animated Blue Beetle series. The next DCU project on the horizon after Creature Commandos is Gunn’s Superman movie, featuring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult. Superman is set to soar into United States theaters on July 11, 2025.
