The film revolves around Tim, a Halloween enthusiast whose world turns upside down when his mother is diagnosed with cancer. His plans for a peaceful night in are shattered when his friends bring a mysterious sack they stole from a local eccentric.
“Their reckless act summons the Aos Si, a Celtic spirit that roams the earth on Halloween. They must unite and endure the night or pay the ultimate price… their lives.”
The film marks the directorial debut of Matt Sampere, who also stars in the film alongside Monique Parent, Alan Maxson, Delian Lincourt, Hunter Kohl, Ian Brown, Elise Rackemann, K Cody Hunt, Andy Horowitz, Jody Pucello, and Scott Lea.
Drawing inspiration from the mythology of Halloween, Creeping Death is a collaborative production by Sampere, Jason Scott Goldberg (Glorious), Erika McGowan, Brenda Block, and Tyler Dane Sutton.
“Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by slasher films and the celebration of Halloween,” shares Sampere. “I wanted to explore the holiday’s lore for my first feature, and that’s how I discovered the Aos Si — vengeful spirits from Celtic mythology associated with trick or treating. Creeping Death is the first supernatural slasher to incorporate this deity. I hope viewers appreciate my tribute to Halloween, its traditions, and a cautionary tale for those who trick.”
