What more can we uncover about the Alien: Romulus prequel comic?
“The film harks back to the original Alien narrative, presenting a spine-chilling saga of young space colonizers encountering the most horrifying life form in the universe,” Marvel Comics revealed in a press statement. “Our one-shot is set before the film’s events, shedding light on the backstory of the film’s main threat. Crafted in close collaboration with Director Fede Alvarez and his frequent co-writer Rodo Sayagues, both of whom penned Alien: Romulus, the one-shot adds a fresh dimension to one of the year’s biggest film releases.”
Thompson expressed his excitement about the one-shot, saying, “The Alien franchise ignited my lifelong fascination with body horror, so it’s an understatement to say that I’m over the moon to be adding my touch to the canon. Collaborating with Fede Alvarez to create a prequel to Alien: Romulus was an absolute dream come true and a responsibility I embraced wholeheartedly. The outcome is a thrilling, petrifying tale that gradually morphs into something utterly unpredictable.”
Alien: Romulus #1 boasts a stunning cover art by Leinil Francis Yu. Björn Barends and Marco Checchetto have contributed variant covers for the one-shot, and a movie variant cover is also up for grabs. The book is set to hit the shelves on October 16, 2024, courtesy of Marvel Comics.
Meanwhile, Alien: Romulus continues to captivate audiences in theaters across the United States.
