The Green Lantern Corps has had a tumultuous ride over the past few years. After being seized by the United Planets, the Corps was tainted and decimated, along with its fellow Corps. However, hope was not lost. A hidden reserve Central Power Battery on Earth was discovered, leading to the revival of the team in an exciting new DC All-In series.
The upcoming Green Lantern Corps series is a collaborative effort, co-authored by Jeremy Adams, who is currently working on a monthly comic featuring Hal Jordan. Joining him in the writing team is Morgan Hampton, the author behind Cyborg. The stunning visuals will be brought to life by the talented duo, Fernando Pasarín and Oclair Albert.
The Green Lantern Corps is staging a grand reunion!

While it’s true that the Green Lantern Corps has been somewhat under the radar in the comic world recently, it hasn’t completely disappeared. John Stewart wrapped up a solo miniseries, which led to the Green Lantern Civil Corps Special. The monthly Green Lantern comic has also been showcasing various characters like Jessica Cruz and Guy Gardner. However, it’s been a while since any Corps members, other than Jordan or Stewart, have been in the spotlight.
The new series is set to change that, offering a true ensemble experience. The main cover of the first issue showcases John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Jessica Cruz, Jo Mullein, Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, and Keli Quintela. The first issue’s plot summary promises a thrilling adventure that will engage the entire team.
The newly formed team faces a formidable adversary in the form of the Fractal Lanterns. These corrupted soldiers of the United Planets possess the power to tap into the entire Emotional Spectrum, not just the Green Light of Will. This is believed to be causing a disruption in the Spectrum, leading to the emergence of unusual new powers. This could be the reason behind the new villain Sorrow, who derives his power from sadness. Another challenge for the Green Lantern Corps will be to prevent Sorrow and his enigmatic master from constructing a power battery.
Mark your calendars! Green Lantern Corps #1 is set to hit comic shops everywhere on February 12, 2025.
