We’re absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of the gruesomely thrilling Argentinian exorcism horror movie Deus Irae, hot on the heels of Terrifier 3. This spine-chilling Christmas release is set to hit Digital HD and SCREAMBOX on December 10.
Deus Irea introduces us to Father Javier, a priest torn between two worlds. On one hand, he aids families who believe they’ve experienced miracles, while on the other, he’s part of a rogue trio of excommunicated priests who take it upon themselves to exorcise the possessed using Bibles, fire, and shotguns.
“But when the only way to vanquish Evil is to become something even more terrifying, he’s forced to question how much of his own humanity — or sanity — he’s willing to sacrifice to defeat the Devil.”
This film marks the debut of Argentine filmmaker Pedro Cristiani and is inspired by a short film of the same name.
Screen Anarchy had the chance to review the film, and here’s what they had to say.
