The team at ArtPlay expressed their gratitude to the fans on the Kickstarter page for Bloodstained, saying, “This [2 million copies sold milestone] is due to all the support we have received from everyone. We would like to sincerely thank you so much. This entire project has been a labor of love for everyone involved.”

Adding multiplayer to the game hasn’t been without its challenges and delays, but the team is determined to push forward. They are nearing completion of the new content.
Since its launch in 2019, Bloodstained has been receiving regular DLC updates. The most recent addition was a crossover area with thatgamecompany’s Journey. And there’s more to come! After the “VS” and “Chaos” modes, players can look forward to additional DLC this Winter.
