Get ready for an epic adventure in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2! Insomniac Games has just unveiled exciting new details about the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 game. Brace yourself for an expanded map, thrilling new features, and an array of awesome suits.
In a recent PlayStation State of Play stream, Insomniac treated fans to a four-minute featurette showcasing the open-world map and innovative gameplay mechanics of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Just like its predecessors, the game allows players to explore the iconic island of Manhattan. But this time, the map is twice as big, with the addition of two more New York City boroughs: Peter Parker’s native Queens and Miles Morales’ native Brooklyn.
The video showcases the freedom to switch between Miles and Peter as they explore all that Insomniac’s NYC has to offer. With the addition of web wings, traversing the map has never been faster or more exhilarating. And let’s not forget the abundance of unlockable suits from the vast Spider-Man mythos, which are sure to excite fans.
Speaking of suits, Insomniac has also unveiled a new trailer for the Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2. This special edition includes 10 unique Spider-Man suits, with five for Peter and five for Miles. Additionally, players who purchase this edition will receive exclusive pre-order bonuses, such as two more unique suits (one for each character), the Web Grabber gadget, and three skill points. As if that wasn’t enough, there are also two extra skill points and bonus Photo Mode options.
What is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 about?
Prepare for an intense storyline in Insomniac’s Spider-Man sequel. As Peter Parker and Miles Morales continue their roles as protectors of Marvel’s New York, they face new challenges and personal struggles. With the return of Peter’s best friend, Harry Osborne, and Miles’ aspirations beyond high school, the bond between our heroes is tested. To make matters worse, the appearance of the Symbiote threatens not only them but also the city and their loved ones. Expect the presence of iconic Spidey villains like Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard, and, of course, Venom.
