The surviving crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship finds themselves stranded on a breathtaking yet merciless alien planet. Their only hope is to survive long enough for rescue or escape. But as they search for their lost ship and missing crewmates, they discover a hostile world that thrives without human interference. With stunning visuals and captivating animation, Scavengers Reign offers a fresh perspective on the consequences of unchecked arrogance and humanity’s insatiable thirst for conquering the unknown.
Just some light, mellow themes to ponder. Although, one can’t help but wonder if the world is truly “hostile” or if it’s just humans projecting their fears onto it.
The series boasts an exceptional voice cast, including Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country), Bob Stephenson (Lady Bird), Sunita Mani (Mr. Robot), Ted Travelstead (Therapy), and Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development). Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner, the creators, are making the leap from short films to a full-fledged series with this project, which expands upon their earlier short film, Scavengers.
