Exciting news from Insomniac Games! They’ve just revealed some hints about the future of the beloved Marvel’s Spider-Man series. And guess what? We might have a new “main” Spider-Man in the game franchise!

If you haven’t played Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 yet, here’s a little spoiler: the game ends with Miles Morales embarking on a solo mission, leaving Peter Parker behind with Mary Jane Watson. Miles confidently takes on the responsibility of being Spider-Man for the time being.
In a recent interview with Gizmodo, Insomniac’s narrative director Ben Arfmann and advanced writer Brittney Morris discussed the game’s ending. They talked about how it felt “natural” for Miles to step into the role of the main Spider-Man, showcasing his growth as a hero.
“To me, it shows a great deal of evolution from Miles. At the beginning of the game, we see him struggling to find his purpose. But by the end, he’s shouldering the responsibility of saving the city and supporting Peter when he needs it,” explained Morris.
Arfmann agreed, emphasizing that this was a pivotal moment the team had planned from the start. “It always felt very natural, and I think we all collectively thought it would happen. It’s a testament to Miles’ growth as a character,” he said.
