Void Rivals: The Genesis of the Energon Universe
The Energon Universe was born with the launch of Kirkman and De Felici’s Void Rivals last June. The debut issue of this sci-fi series surprised fans with an unexpected appearance by Jetfire, a beloved Transformers character. This paved the way for the launch of Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers ongoing series in October.
Since then, the Energon Universe has grown to include another iconic Hasbro franchise. December marked the debut of Duke, the first in a series of four limited editions introducing G.I. Joe characters to the EU. The second series, Cobra Commander, followed in January. Image and Skybound are set to kick off the second year of the EU with a Free Comic Book Day special releasing this May.
Mark your calendars! Void Rivals #7 hits the shelves on Wednesday, March 6 from Image Comics.
