First Glimpse at SCREAMBOX’s Original Anthology Series ‘Tales From the Void’ Inspired by ‘NoSleep’ Stories

Attention all horror enthusiasts and fans of “Tales From the Crypt” and “Black Mirror”! Brace yourselves for “Tales From the Void”, the latest Original Series from SCREAMBOX. This series brings to life six spine-chilling tales of terror, each inspired by the wildly popular r/No Sleep stories with a whopping 18M subscribers! This thrilling news was first reported by Variety earlier today.

The inaugural episode is set to make its rounds at several festivals before making its grand premiere this fall on the Bloody Disgusting-powered streaming service, perfectly timed for the Halloween season.

Conceived by Francesco Loschiavo, the series showcases the directorial prowess of acclaimed filmmakers such as Joe Lynch (Mayhem), Maritte Lee Go (Black as Night), The Adams Family (Hellbender), and of course, Francesco Loschiavo himself.

This Canadian co-production is a collaborative effort between Envoi Entertainment, Heroes & Ghosts, Rusty Halo Productions, and the respected genre outlet Paper Street Pictures.

Francesco Loschiavo and John Thomas Kelley helm the series as co-showrunners, with production led by Barclay J. Maude, and support from Rebeka Herron and Martin Wotjunik. Aaron B. Koontz (Scare Package, upcoming Shelby Oaks) serves as Executive Producer, alongside David Cummings from The NoSleep Podcast. Brad Miska and Brandon Hill also join as Executive Producers for Cineverse.

David Cummings expressed his excitement, “For years we’ve been bringing horror stories to life with our audio adaptations. ‘Tales From the Void’ is the next thrilling step in this journey. Seeing the stories come alive on screen is terrifyingly satisfying. We dare everyone to take the plunge into the void with us!”

Series creator Francesco Loschiavo chimed in, “This series is a heartfelt tribute to the r/No Sleep community, showcasing the vast and varied landscape of the horror genre. We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into curating and adapting these stories for television, and we eagerly anticipate the audience’s reaction.”

“As a lifelong fan of ‘Tales from the Crypt’ and Creepshow, I have a deep-seated love for anthologies and can’t wait for horror fans to see these classic ‘No Sleep’ stories come to life,” shared Brad Miska, VP of horror content at SCREAMBOX. “ ‘Tales From the Void’ delves into the best of horror, all through the unique lens of some of the most prominent modern voices in horror.”

The pilot episode, directed by Joe Lynch, is based on the short story “The Black Square” by Matt Dymserski and is scheduled to debut exclusively on SCREAMBOX later in 2024. Other notable r/NoSleep stories to be featured include “Betsy The Doll” by Rebecca Klingel aka C.K. Walker (“The Haunting at Hill House”) and “I used to hack baby monitors. But one night I learned my lesson.” by Manen Lyset.

This new SCREAMBOX Original joins others such as Here for Blood, which was released just in time for WrestleMania season, the found footage Underground, the Face/Off-inspired body swapping thriller Devils, and the Beetlejuice-inspired ’80s throwback Onyx the Fortuitous

The deal was brokered by Danny Gusman at The Exchange on behalf of the filmmakers and by Brandon Hill, Director of Acquisitions, on behalf of Cineverse.
