The Stranger Hulu

Remember Quibi? The short-lived streaming platform gave us some horror gems, most of which are currently unavailable. But there’s good news! Veena Sud’s series “The Stranger” has been resurrected on Hulu.

Written and directed by Veena Sud (The Lie, Seven Seconds, The Killing), Quibi’s “The Stranger” has been transformed into a feature film, now exclusively streaming on Hulu.

In The Stranger, Clare (Maika Monroe, star of It Follows and Neon’s upcoming Longlegs) is a rideshare driver new to Los Angeles. She picks up Carl (Dane DeHaan, recently seen in Oppenheimer and star of HBO’s The Staircase) from a home in the Hollywood Hills. What starts as a routine ride quickly spirals into a twelve-hour fight for survival through the city’s seedy underbelly. Avan Jogia (Victorious, Now Apocalypse) also stars in this thrilling ride.

Get ready for a bloodbath! The Japanese horror-slasher movie Love Will Tear Us Apart is set to make its Digital and On Demand debut this Tuesday, April 16.

This film promises to bring a stylish twist to the Japanese horror and slasher genres.

Love Will Tear Us Apart follows Wakaba, a young woman haunted by her past. As she navigates new romantic relationships, she finds herself pursued by a relentless masked murderer. This mysterious killer targets anyone who dares to get close to her, turning her quest for love into a desperate fight for survival.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Kenichi Ugana (Visitors, Extraneous Matter), the film made waves at multiple genre festivals in 2023, earning rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Red Water Entertainment reveals that Love Will Tear Us Apart won the award for Best Feature Film at the Portland Horror Film Festival and was also screened at Genre Blast, Be Afraid Horror Fest, Grimmfest, and the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

Abigail Melissa Barrera movie

Prepare for a blood-curdling experience as Radio Silence (Ready or Not, Scream) returns to the big screen with the vampire ballerina movie Abigail, premiering on Thursday, April 18.

The plot revolves around a group of criminals who kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure. All they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is to watch the girl overnight. But as they find themselves locked inside an isolated mansion with the girl, they soon realize that she’s no ordinary child.

The film is brought to you by the dynamic directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for their modern horror hits Ready or Not, 2022’s Scream and last year’s Scream VI. The script is penned by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground, Zombie Bashers) and Guy Busick (Scream franchise, Ready or Not).

Abigail features a star-studded cast including Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers, and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) as Abigail.
