Despite the rebellious reputation that bikers often carry, they are known to adhere to a strict code of conduct. One of the cardinal rules is to never tamper with another man’s “hog.” However, in a surprising twist, Superman breaks this golden rule in the initial pages of Action Comics #1065.

Authored by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Rafa Sandoval, Action Comics #1065 carries forward the intriguing House of Brainiac storyline. The plot thickens as Brainiac abducts Superman’s family and all the superpowered inhabitants of Metropolis. This leads to an unexpected alliance with Lobo, as Brainiac has conscripted a captured city of his people, the Czarnians, into his army. The plot takes an exciting turn as Superman and Lobo chase Brainiac on modified space cycles.
Confronted with a showdown and the formidable Czarnian general Chacal, Superman is unusually quick to engage in combat. His uncharacteristic rage over his family’s abduction fuels his aggression. However, his strategic move to disable their attacker’s vehicles is a blatant breach of biker etiquette. (To be fair to Superman, the Czarnians did wreck his and Lobo’s space bikes first.)

Is Superman on the Verge of Facing a New Luthor/Brainiac Alliance?
The preview of Action Comics #1065 reveals Lex Luthor aiding Brainiac in his sinister plans. The two villains have collaborated in the past. However, the current Superman series portrays Luthor making some attempts at redemption.
Not only has Luthor handed over his company to the Man of Steel and directed his employees to assist him in doing good, but he has also helped him combat some threats to their city. It’s possible that Luthor is assisting Brainiac to gain an upper hand and help Superman liberate his fellow captives. However, it’s equally plausible that Luthor is on the brink of reverting to his typically treacherous behavior.
