Exciting news for superhero fans! Lamorne Morris, the talented actor, is the latest addition to the cast of the highly anticipated Spider-Man Noir series on Prime Video. And guess what? The series has also been rebranded with a new title.
Previously known as Noir, the series has now been aptly renamed Spider-Noir, emphasizing its connection to the Spider-Man universe. Morris will share the screen with Nicolas Cage, who is set to reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir from the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse franchise.
As per a Deadline report, Morris is set to portray Robbie Robertson, a journalist characterized as “driven, hard-working, and won’t take no for an answer.” The character is striving to establish himself professionally in the 1930s New York setting of the series.
So, what’s the scoop on Spider-Noir?
While the premiere date for Spider-Noir is still under wraps, it’s confirmed that the series will first launch on MGM+ before making its way to Amazon Prime Video. Nicolas Cage also spilled the beans that the series will comprise eight episodes.

According to Deadline, Spider-Noir “unfolds the tale of a struggling private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is compelled to confront his past life as the city’s sole superhero.”
The creative team behind Spider-Noir includes Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot as co-showrunners. Harry Bradbeer is at the helm, directing and executive producing the first two episodes of the eight-episode series, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal also on board as executive producers.
