Cast of Daredevil: Born Again Discusses Connection to Marvel Netflix Series on Disney+

Get ready, Marvel fans! The stars of Daredevil: Born Again are spilling the beans on how the upcoming Disney+ series will tie into the original Netflix show.

Coming soon to Disney+, Daredevil: Born Again is a highly anticipated Marvel Studios series. The star-studded cast includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and many more.

With Cox, D’Onofrio, Bernthal, Woll, and Henson all returning to their roles from the Netflix series, the cast shared some intriguing insights on how the new series will link to Daredevil Seasons 1, 2, and 3 in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

So, what did the Daredevil: Born Again cast reveal about the new Disney+ series?

“Our characters’ pasts, presents, and futures are intricately woven with the original series,” D’Onofrio hinted. “There are storylines that trace back to the roots of our characters.”

Cox expressed his excitement about the “shared character history” between the two Daredevil series. He also mentioned, “However, it can also be a challenge, as we are bound by our past. But I believe the writers and [showrunner] Dario [Scardapane] have done a fantastic job in balancing our history and connections without making it a burden.”

Interestingly, Cox also revealed that some props from Netflix’s Daredevil will find their way into the Disney+ series.

“Deborah and I had a scene where we discover an old box — I hope I’m allowed to share that,” he said. “We found items from our past, real stuff from the old show. It was a nostalgic moment, almost like life imitating art.”

Mark your calendars, Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
