Brace yourselves, Marvel fans! The action-packed Daredevil: Born Again is not for the faint-hearted.
Set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025, Daredevil: Born Again is the much-anticipated follow-up to the Marvel Television Daredevil series that originally aired on Netflix. Fans will be thrilled to know that Charlie Cox will be returning to his iconic role as Matt Murdock.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brad Winderbaum from Marvel Studios gave us a sneak peek into what we can expect from Daredevil: Born Again.
So, what did Brad Winderbaum reveal about the action in Daredevil: Born Again?
“Prepare for some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen in Daredevil: Born Again. It’s not a horror show, but it certainly packs a punch with its raw and visceral action,” he said.
Winderbaum went on to explain how the vast MCU allows each series and movie to have its own unique tone. This makes it fitting for Daredevil: Born Again to adopt a tone that is more violent than other Marvel titles.
“It all boils down to the filmmaker’s intent,” he elaborated. “The horror in Agatha will differ from that in Marvel Zombies, which will be different from Blade, and so on. It’s not just unique to horror. It’s unique to any genre we’re playing with. There are countless ways to tell a story, and it all depends on the filmmaker’s vision.”
Joining Cox in Daredevil: Born Again are stars Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk. The star-studded cast also includes Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Jeremy Earl, and more.
