Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor Makes a Comeback in Long Beach

Are you brave enough to check in? This Halloween season, Peacock and Blumhouse are transforming the iconic Stanley Hotel into a chilling “Overnightmare” event, and you’re invited… if you dare.

The Stanley Hotel, nestled in the picturesque Estes Park, Colorado, is famously known as the eerie muse behind Stephen King’s legendary horror novel The Shining. Now, Blumhouse’s “Overnightmare” event is set to bring your worst fears to life in a one-weekend-only experience that promises a bone-chilling adventure from the moment you check in until the dead of night.

Immerse yourself in the terrifying worlds of Blumhouse’s Insidious, The Purge, Freaky and Happy Death Day at the “Overnightmare” event. From Friday, October 18 – Sunday, October 20, The Lodge at The Stanley Hotel will be overrun with horror, with rooms themed after these spine-tingling Blumhouse classics.

The horror begins the moment you arrive, with a conci-scare-ge ready to welcome you. The weekend is filled with encounters of various characters and frights, including the Teacup Room, a hair-raising salon that transports guests into the world of the new thriller series produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster exclusively on Peacock, and the Blumhouse Bar, a sanctuary for horror fans to enjoy a drink, a scare, and a sneak peek at the company’s upcoming video game, Fear the Spotlight

As night falls, prepare for the unexpected. Each evening features an after-dark experience where guests are whisked away from their rooms for one of four personalized, fully immersive activations, each inspired by a Blumhouse film and filled with interactive characters, narratives, and scares.

No matter your scare tolerance, there’s an experience for you. Choose from Freaky and Happy Death Day for a mild fright, or dare to experience Insidious and The Purge for a full-blown nightmare.

As a bonus, guests will be treated to two nights of exclusive screenings, including episodes of the Peacock series Teacup from James Wan’s Atomic Monster, premiering Thurs., Oct. 10.

If you’re up for the challenge, secure your stay at The Stanley Hotel’s website. The weekend package includes a two-night stay in a double occupancy room in The Lodge, an interactive Scare Experience, a complimentary welcome dinner, $100 credit toward breakfast or lunch at Brunch & Co., nightly screenings, and two drink vouchers for the Blumhouse Bar per guest.
