Free Comic Book Day is a thrilling opportunity for comic publishers to whet the appetite of fans with sneak peeks of upcoming events and to showcase their popular ongoing series. Dynamite Entertainment is set to do just that with their 2025 line-up, which will spotlight three beloved animated series: Powerpuff Girls, Gargoyles, and ThunderCats.
Get ready for an epic crossover as the survivors of Thundera join forces with Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup in Thundercats/Powerpuff Girls #0. Crafted by Paulina Ganucheau and illustrated by Coleman Engle, this special edition will see the Powerpuff Girls transported to Third Earth. Thankfully, a character named Snarf is on hand to guide them after a clash with Mojo Jojo. However, their journey leaves them powerless, making it difficult for them to combat the malevolent Mumm-Ra.

Gargoyles: Demona #0 Set to Debut on Free Comic Book Day
Dynamite Entertainment’s second Free Comic Book Day offering takes a darker turn. Penned by Gargoyles creator Greg Wiesman, Gargoyles: Demona #0 launches a fresh storyline delving into the past of the notorious villain. The comic will feature artwork by Frank Paur and a cover, fully displayed below, by Meghan Hetrick.
For a millennium, while the heroic Gargoyles slumbered, their adversary Demona has been plotting her revenge against humanity for their annihilation of her species. Despite Goliath and his clan’s best efforts to safeguard their adopted home, New York City, they are unprepared for the extreme measures Demona will take to execute her warped plan for justice. They are equally unprepared for the significant role they will play in her scheme. The saga commences on Free Comic Book Day and will continue in a new monthly miniseries.
