Psychological Horror Game ‘Scauage’ Offers Free Gameplay of Looting an Abandoned House [Trailer]

Get ready, underwater horror enthusiasts! Your next thrilling plunge into the abyss is just around the corner. After six months of intense development in Early Access, the dynamic duo of developer Embers and publisher Oro Interactive are thrilled to announce that Murky Divers will be making its grand exit from the service on Steam and launching in full on December 12. The 1.0 release promises to introduce a host of new creatures, a fresh playable biome, and much more. And in the spirit of the festive season, expect a Christmas theme complete with free-to-keep cosmetics.

In Murky Divers, you can either go solo or team up with seven other players to embark on a chilling journey to the ocean’s depths. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to clear Pharma Corps’ abandoned labs of all corpses and obliterate any traces of their botched experiments. But beware, it’s not as straightforward as it sounds. You’ll have to contend with the eerie entities lurking in these wrecks, and your oxygen supply may deplete faster than you anticipate.

Teamwork is key in Murky Divers. You’ll need to work in unison to navigate your sub to these haunting wrecks, relying on sonar and stations to “see” and steer your way. Once there, you’ll step out to extract the dead bodies from the wrecks, which you’ll then transport back to the sub and dispose of using a shredder.

Survive the ordeal and you’ll be rewarded with credits that you can spend on items, upgrades, and modules to enhance your chances of success in future expeditions. Equip yourself with handy items like Agent NUTS, the shopping cart, or the scooter to make your task a tad easier. You can also upgrade with see-through vision, body part detectors, or a grappling hook. Don’t forget to upgrade your sub too, with modules for greater depth, larger fishing nets, and more.

“We’re overwhelmed by the support from our community of over 350,000 players worldwide,” says the press release from Embers. “Since its early access launch, Murky Divers has grown and evolved thanks to the invaluable feedback and enthusiasm from our players. We’re eager to continue developing Murky Divers and look forward to sharing more updates as we strive to make the game truly extraordinary.”
