Lionsgate/Blumhouse Horror Film ‘Imaginary’ Releases Game-Inspired Poster

Are you ready to meet your new, terrifying best friend? Lionsgate and Blumhouse are set to introduce the world to Chauncey, a teddy bear with a sinister twist, in their upcoming horror flick, Imaginary. Today, we’ve got a fresh, chilling poster to share with you.

Don’t be fooled, Chauncey is far from imaginary… and he’s definitely not your friend. Take a look at the spine-tingling new poster below.

Starring and produced by DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World Dominion), Imaginary is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024. The plot of this horror spectacle is…

“Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her family. Her youngest stepdaughter Alice forms a creepy bond with a stuffed bear named Chauncey that she discovers in the basement. Alice’s games with Chauncey start off innocent but quickly take a dark turn. As Alice’s behavior grows increasingly alarming, Jessica steps in, only to discover that Chauncey is far more than just a stuffed toy bear.”

The film also features performances by Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley. The screenplay is the brainchild of Jeff Wadlow, Greg Erb, and Jason Oremland.

Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will produce, with Jeff Wadlow (Cry Wolf, Kick-Ass 2, Truth or Dare, Fantasy Island, The Curse of Bridge Hollow) taking the helm as producer and director.

Searchlight Pictures is set to release a thrilling new horror project, Nightbitch, starring the talented Amy Adams. The film has recently been rated R by the MPA. Today, we have some exciting updates about this much-anticipated horror movie.

The “darkly comic horror film” is directed by Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) and is expected to be a Hulu Original release.

Nightbitch tells the tale of a woman who, after becoming a stay-at-home mom in the suburbs, begins to embrace the primal power of motherhood. She starts to notice strange and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog.

According to Deadline, “Adams will next be seen starring in Marielle Heller’s Nightbitch for Searchlight, releasing in fall 2024. The film, based on Rachel Yoder’s debut novel, is produced by Adams through her production banner Bond Group Entertainment.”

It seems we can expect Nightbitch to hit the screens just in time for the spooky Halloween season.

Nightbitch is rated “R” for “language and some sexuality.”

Joining Adams in the cast are Scoot McNairy (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Mary Holland (Happiest Season).

The movie is based on Rachel Yoder’s novel, with Yoder also penning the screenplay.

“Rachel Yoder’s book took my breath away. I haven’t felt this way about [a] book since I read The Diary of a Teenage Girl many years ago,” Heller said in a statement. “Rachel’s darkly hilarious tale of motherhood and rage made me feel seen. And adapting it with Amy Adams in mind has been the thing that has kept me going through the pandemic. I am so thrilled to be bringing this movie to life with wonderful partners in Anne Carey, Annapurna Pictures, and Searchlight. It is a dream come true.”

Expect Nightbitch to hit the screens in Fall 2024, with a more precise release date to be announced soon.
